Bio-Sport - 240 capsules & 30 tablets

Bio-Sport is a combination nutritional supplement which has been scientifically formulated to aid recovery from chronic inflammatory injuries of a nature most often seen in sporting people, usually as a result of repeated strain injury to muscles, tendons, and ligaments (soft tissue injury).

Bio-Sport contains three components: Omega 3 fatty acids from fish oil, Omega 6 fatty acids from starflower oil, and antioxidants (selenium, vitamins A, C, E, B6, and zinc). All components are made to Pharmaceutical Standard; the omega fatty acids in Bio-Sport are concentrated and are easily absorbed by the body.

The Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids in Bio-Sport are precursors (building blocks) for type 1 and 3 prostaglandins (the body’s own anti-inflammatory agents) and help to favour these over type 2 prostaglandins, which are pro-inflammatory. The antioxidant ingredients in Bio-Sport act to support the action of the Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.

As the name suggests, Bio-Sport is intended for chronic sports injuries, but it may also benefit chronic soft tissue inflammation of other origins, such as in Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), Tennis Elbow, Housemaid’s knee and other forms of bursitis, tendonitis, etc.

Taking 8 capsules and one tablet of Bio-Sport per day for one month is recommended. If a maintenance programme is required, it is usually half this (4 capsules and 1 tablet)

Bio-Sport is the only preparation of this kind. It is a totally new concept in the management of chronic injuries where inflammation is the main feature. There are many scientific papers which support the benefits of taking the individual components of Bio-Sport.

Epileptics who are taking anticonvulsant medication should not take Bio-Sport. There are no other known drug interactions.
