Vitamin E occurs as a number of compounds in nature: alpha, beta, delta and gamma tocopherol. It is a fat-soluble vitamin which is obtained from vegetable oil, margarine and grain products. The form of which is most beneficial to the body is d-alpha tocopherol. The synthetic form dl-alpha-tocopherol is much less active.

Bio-E-Vitamin has a very powerful antioxidant effecting the body. As it works in over 300 biochemical pathways, its mode of action is highly complex.

Vitamin E has been used in the management of a variety of disorders. Its primary use is as an antioxidant, helping to maintain a healthy heart. Taking 1 capsule of Bio-E-Vitamin (equivalent to 350mg, 525 i.u.) per day is recommended for general well being, and 2 capsules (equivalent to 700mg, 1050 i.u.) per day has been shown to give therapeutic benefit.

There are many vitamin E preparations available on the market, however, Bio-E-Vitamin is specifically designed to withstand stomach acidity so as to ensure optimum absorption the small intestine. Many other preparations loose their effectiveness when passing through the stomach.
